Reflection Journal for Lab 7

In lab 7, I used different kinds of filters on the same photo 6 times. The objective of the lab was most likely to see what each kind of filter does to a picture. To do this lab I created 5 copies of the same photo and used 1 different photo on the top right. On each photo I used 6 different types of filters, Artistic, Sketch, Blur, Distort, Liquify, and Diffuse filter. I added clouds in the background and lens flare.   I used a software called Photoshop to complete this lab. This lab is relevant to web design because it shows you what different filters do. But in general, the key thing that I learned is to try different things since it can give you different and sometimes better results. In design, trying new things is important. Sticking to the same thing all the time makes it boring. I will use these skills in the future when I want to apply a certain filter to a certain photo.

Reflection Journal for Lab 6

For Lab 6, I used vector shapes to remake a drawing that I have done. Vector shapes can replicate a lot of things in a simpler version, which is shapes. There are a wide variety of vector shapes to choose from to match my needs. I used grass shapes to replicate the grass in my drawing and tree bark texture shapes to color the tree in and outlined it with the line shape. To do the clouds in my drawing, I used the eclipse shape and so on. The objective of this lab was most likely to recreate a drawing but only with shapes. I used Photoshop (a photo editing software) to do this.    This lab is related to web design because it relates to general designing. I used a lot of different shapes to create a drawing. That is directly relating to design in general, and web design requires a lot of designing to do. That is why it is called web design in the first place.I will most likely use these skills when I draw something on paper but i want to improve it digitally.
