Reflection Journal for Lab 7

In lab 7, I used different kinds of filters on the same photo 6 times. The objective of the lab was most likely to see what each kind of filter does to a picture. To do this lab I created 5 copies of the same photo and used 1 different photo on the top right. On each photo I used 6 different types of filters, Artistic, Sketch, Blur, Distort, Liquify, and Diffuse filter. I added clouds in the background and lens flare.

I used a software called Photoshop to complete this lab. This lab is relevant to web design because it shows you what different filters do. But in general, the key thing that I learned is to try different things since it can give you different and sometimes better results. In design, trying new things is important. Sticking to the same thing all the time makes it boring. I will use these skills in the future when I want to apply a certain filter to a certain photo.

Reflection Journal for Lab 3

For Lab 3, we copied images of a car and we changed it so it to have different effects. Each one of four had different effects. For example, changed Hue, saturation, replaced color, and black & white. The objective of the lab was most likely to get familiar with the Photoshop software by using effects that is provided by it. So the next time we know what hue, does or what saturation does. Not only do we know what effects are what but we also know how to apply a certain effect on the image. I did this project by using different tools in Photoshop and by using different effects on the car images. The software I used is called Photoshop. This is relevant to web design because it gets you to be more familiar with tools and effects in Photoshop. In web design, Photoshop skills are important because most of the websites are graphics and is what visually appeals to a visitor of the website. In that case getting used to Photoshop or learning Photoshop skills are very im...

Windows 10 vs Mac Sierra

There are many differences between mac and windows. The main difference is the user interface. For example, In mac OS there is a dock and in windows there is the task bar. The two look very different in terms of design. Also, Most software are built to run on windows and so mac OS is limited to the software it can run but that doesn't mean mac cant do anything, It can, its just that some software don't run on mac OS. The user experience for the both are great and overall they are just operating systems. Not a big deal.

Reflection Journal for Lab 4

In Lab 4, I basically created a collage like thing with a few pictures. The objective of the lab was most likely to explore and learn more about photography. For example, what makes a picture look good and what makes it look bad and how to improve on it etc. We took pictures at high points of view,  Low points of view, eye level, close up etc. Later on we put those pictures together to kind of make a collage.   To complete Lab 4, I used a software called Photoshop. Photoshop lets you manipulate pictures and lets you do a lot with just one picture. This is relevant to web design because it lets you become a photographer temporarily and it lets you see what looks good and what looks bad. You gain more experience with photos which most web designers are. These skills can be used to edit photos in the future.
