The MET Reflection Journal

  On Friday the 17th, me and my classmates went on a trip to the metropolitan museum of art. We saw different forms of art, different materials used in each masterpiece, different meanings behind the masterpiece etc. I learned that art is a message. Art can just look like art but it can also contain a message for you to understand, A message that is worth sharing with others. These messages can be something very simple but sometimes very complex. Its hard to figure out what the message is, but that is the fun of it all. Looking at art is very different for me now, because going to the museum changed my perspective on art. Before I would look at art as something beautiful and only good artist can make it look beautiful, but now while it still is something beautiful it is also something that conveys a message to the gazer.   I can be more creative, going to the museum gave me ideas, which I most likely would never think of before, my perspective has changed on art and now I can a

CTE Expo Reflection Journal

  The CTE Expo is where freshman come to visit and decide on which CTE Academy to chose, and sophomores, juniors, seniors present their projects to the freshmen. By doing this the freshmen get an idea of how it'll be once they choose to join that academy and also get an idea of what they can hope to accomplish.   The CTE Expo is important because not only does it benefit the freshmen but also the people presenting. It can benefit the freshmen because they can decide on which academy to choose and it can benefit the presenters because they can learn social skills and handshakes. Its an experience that is highly educational, it may not be academic but it is definitely educational and important.   During the CTE Expo 2017 the freshmen got to see what others were doing in visual design and video academies.
